A Day in the Life of a Fullstack Academy Cyber Student
You’ll get a full classroom experience with your classmates and instructors through a mix of live lectures, workshops, and team projects. No two days are the same, but here’s an example of what a typical day looks like:
Full-Time Schedule
The Full-Time Fullstack Academy Cybersecurity Bootcamp is 12 weeks with Monday through Friday classes. Classes take place from:
- 10:00am-5:00pm ET
Due to its immersive nature, students of the Full-Time curriculum should not maintain any employment during their 12 weeks of study. Students can expect to spend at least 32.5 hours in class each week and 8-10 hours on outside assignments or studying.
Even working just a few hours a week puts students at a disadvantage in making the most of their bootcamp experience.
AM Demos & Collaborative Exercises
Lunch & Fitness Break
PM Demos & Collaborative Exercises
Time (Hours)
Hours
Knowledge and skills related to the competencies prospective employers are looking for are introduced by your instructor through active demonstrations. Then, you work with others as you complete student exercises in a virtual lab reinforcing what you have learned. These exercises are inquiry-based and often go deeper than some of the areas covered in demos. If your team needs help solving a challenge, an instructional team member will be there to assist. At the end of the session, you’ll discuss what you learned with the larger class.
Use this free time to recharge. In many cohorts, students have weekly virtual lunch breaks with instructional team members and classmates to catch up on the week.
After lunch, you’ll continue gaining new knowledge as your instructor introduces a new topic or set of skills. Collaboration and teamwork is essential to thriving in a cybersecurity career, so during the afternoon session you’ll once again team up with other students. Together, you’ll solve challenges designed around real-world problems in cybersecurity. During this time an instructional team member is available to help you through any problems you may get stuck on. The session closes with a class discussion.
Part-Time Schedule
The Part-Time Fullstack Academy Cybersecurity Bootcamp is 26 weeks with classes held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You can choose which class time works best for you in the application process.
- 9:30am-12:30pm ET
- 6:30pm-9:30pm ET
Each week, students can expect to spend 9 hours total in class and 6-8 hours studying or working on outside assignments.

Through active demonstrations, your instructor introduces knowledge and skills related to the competencies prospective employers seek. After this, you will participate in a virtual lab to reinforce what you have learned through student exercises. The exercises are inquiry-based and may cover deeper topics than some demos.
